Life is a gift from God. He knew from the very beginning who was going to be born, and who wasn't. He knew when we would be born and when we would die. He knew because He created us. But what goes on in between is up to us because He gave us the gift of free will. He wanted us to make the decisions in our lives. He wanted us to be able to decide things for ourselves, and then deal with the consequences. We are not perfect and don't always make the best choices for ourselves. A lot of the time we are in the wrong place at the wrong time and things happen to us that would never happened if we had chosen more wisely. A lot of times we never think ahead about what could happen. A lot of times we know that we shouldn't put ourselves into a position that could end out badly, but we do it anyway. There are even people out there that do what they do just to see if they can get away with it. But whatever the reason, if we choose badly, we have to suffer the consequences. And some times those consequences last our entire lives. We can't get out of it no matter what we do. Left to our own devices, we can mess up our entire lives. And God knows this. That is why Jesus came down from His throne in Heaven and was born to a woman that had not known a man. A virgin birth to let everyone know that this baby was very special. It was a gift from God to all the people of the world--past, present, and future. Jesus grew up the same way every child does. He has felt and faced everything that we face today. He was tempted with sin just as we are. But there is a difference. He remained sinless throughout everything He faced; including dying on the Cross to take away the sins of the world. He came to earth to offer us a way to live forever in Heaven with Him. But therein comes our free will. We do not have to accept God's gift of salvation. We can continue to live in sin and God will not stop us. Because He gave us free will, it's up to us to make the decision to take the gift of salvation or to reject it. Jesus died for everyone's sins; past, present, and future. And He loves us so much that we could never comprehend it. He created us to love and us to love Him. And if we reject His offer of redemption for our sins, there is no one to blame but ourselves. His grace gives us a way to accept His gift of salvation. There is nothing we can say or do to get into Heaven except through the Blood of Jesus Christ. We do not deserve this gift He offers us, but because He loves us He gives us an opportunity to accept Him as our Lord and Savior. If we do that, He forgives our sins as far as the East is from the West. And after He forgives us, He remembers the sins no more. And when you ask Jesus to become your Lord and Savior, there is nothing He asks of us except to love Him, and to share Him with everyone we can. He loved us so much that He endured so many people saying he was a fraud and treating him as if He were a common criminal. He indured all the horrible things men did to him, including dying on the cross because He loves us and He knew that if He didn't give us the opportunity to come to Him freely, we would not come to Him at all. Sin is so tempting and looks so good because satan knows that unless he appealed to our sin nature, he would never have any followers. We have free will so it's our choice as to whether we are going to follow Jesus, or whether we are going to follow satan. It has to be one or the other. And you can't just live a good life and expect to get into Heaven. You have to use your free will to accept Him and let Him be your Lord and Savior. And if you don't accept Christ, then you belong to the devil--there is no gray area. So I pray that you will make the right choice and choose Jesus. Your life on this earth and beyond depends on it.
What most excites you about the way you're living your life right now?
What most excites me about the way I am living my life right now is that I am a Child of the King, who knew me before I was knit together in my mother's womb. He knew the trials and tribulations that I would have to go through in my life to get to where I am today. I love the Lord with all my heart, all my soul, all my mind and all my strength. I want to be a living example of what a Christian is by how I live my life. I do not want to "talk the talk" without walking the walk. I know that the Bible is the innerant Word of God. It is the most loving, honest, honorable account of the Word (which is Jesus) from Genesis thru Revelation. It tells us how much God loves us and wants us to choose to be with Him in eternity. He gave us free will and so many people decide there is no God, Or that God doesn't have time for them so why bother, Some decide that parts of the Holy Bible are not true and have never been true. Some decide that the whole Bible is just a fairy tale to make people feel good. They don't believe in Heaven or hell. God or the devil. Faith is a word that they use to express how they feel about the weekend's ball game. "I have faith that the Lakers will win tonight". Faith is hope in things that aren't able to be seen. If you can see, there is no faith. Faith is believing in The Lord God and that He created the Earth in six days. Faith is believing that Christ was mocked, despised, spit upon, given thirty lashes, chosen to die over a common criminal. He was branded crazy and His followers did nothing to help him. He was not crazy, but was doing His Father's business. Not his earthly father, but His Heavenly Father, who sent Him to be in the world but not of the world. He was to be a ransom for many. And when He was crucified, the Lord God had to turn away from Him because He could not see such a high amout of sin. And Jesus asked, "Father, why hast thou forsaken me?" He knew that after He died, He would rise from the dead on the third day. Then when His time was accomplished, He would go to be with the Lord, and would be sitting on His right hand. And when the trumpet sounds the dead will rise first and then all others will rise and forever they will be with the Lord. Think about how long 1000 years is. Hard to imagine right? Well just take that and multiply that by 50 attempts. The temple curtain was ripped and no longer did man have to go through a man to pray. He could directly pray himself to the Good Lord above. Man was never allowed to have direct communication with the Lord again as Adam and Eve did in the Garden of Eden, where satan as a snake talked the woman into tasting the fruit. She balked at first, but finally did it. It was the sweetest thing she had ever tasted. She took some to Adam and had him eat. HE CAME LOOKING FOR THEM AND THEY WOULD NOT ANSWER HIM. They knew that they had done the wrong thing, They were very ashamed and hid from God. He asked them where they are were, and they told Him that they were naked and they were ashamed. He asked them,"Who told you that you were naked? They told Him that the serpant had convinced Eve to eat and she had taken some to Adam. Because of this they were exiled from Eden and man has not been able to talk to God again (except in special circumstances), in person and close up. Now He was out of limits of man. They lost fellowship with the Lord right then. And ever since then, women have had intense pain while having children, and men have have had to work the ground for food. This is the punishment metered out by God, because they had their choice of all the food producing trees, all animals, but Eve had to be swayed by the devil and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and then shared it with Adam and they both knew they had sinned. Sin has horrible consequences--whether you are a Christian or not. If you aren't a Christian and would like to learn how to become one, please contact me and I will be happy to show you in the scriptures how to become a Christian. I am praying for you now to make that decision that will change your life and your life after death.
In Christ's Love,
Susan
